Hello BlueSky, let me re-introduce myself! I'm DBFig, a long-time gaming creator. Focused on adventure, retro, and RPG games.

I try to be chill and unserious most times. Occasionally, I'll sound smart, totally by accident. 😜

Feel free to check my multiple YouTube Channels and more. Stay awesome! 😎
This year has been a wash with great gaming. Especially on the indie side.

It's like every week, a new indie game is out that sold 100k or more copies, that people love.

It's amazing but man, it's also too much. Can't play them all. Yet, glad so many are giving them a chance.
I'll throw Valkyrie Profile to that list too. Like, come on Konami and SquareEnix...
How is Symphony of the Night NOT on Steam?!
I've always enjoyed working on games. Yet, never have the time to make one. So, stuff like RPG Maker is fun to play.

Yet, I remember putting hours into this maker. A true O.G of game makers. If you know, you know. #retrogaming #gamedev
Looking at the reviews of the Xbox Ally X, just solidified in my mind, that I rather buy a Steamdeck.

Currently, no need to get one. Yet, when I decided to pull the trigger, there's nothing the Ally X does that truly pulls me away from Steamdeck. It's more powerful but $500 more powerful? Nah.
I can't lie. I want one. #retro
If you needed another reminder why game preservation is important, here you go.

Sadly, the concept of allowing past art to be remembered and re-experienced is foreign to many in the industry.

A remake/remaster is nice but history of the original game should always be preserved.
Seriously, Chained Echoes is one of the best indie JRPG style games in the last few years. For $10, it's a steal. #gaming
Chained Echoes is $9.99 on Steam buff.ly/xKPDMPk
DLC is $8.49

Deck verified
I've tested dual booting Win/Linux here and there. Win11 for work reasons.

Think, soon, I'll make the big switch.

One SSD and one HDD for Win11 only.

My other SSD drives and HDD drives, for Linux. Haven't decided between Bazzite or CachyOS. Both are good for different reasons.

A couple days of using this and I really like it. Yet, it has one huge flaw. The D-Pad is not good. Well, it's built well. It's just loose.

Yet, I found a super easy way to mod it, so it feels better. Going to do that soon. Other than that, the rest is rock solid.
Just got my hands on the new GameSir G7 Pro Tri-Mode.

First impressions? Honestly, very impressed. Very solid feel. Triggers and sticks feel solid. Buttons have that gaming keyboard clicky feel.

Plus the software to adjust dead zones and more is great. Very happy so far. #gaming
Well, it's that day again....
I've been contemplating how I should return to YouTube/Streaming, when I hopefully can, in a few months.

I may invest in a VTuber. I have a nice PNGTuber. So perhaps a full VTuber would be nice.

I'm not anti-cam and stuff. I just get a ton of migraines. So for streaming, it may be best.
Part of me feels, as time goes on, Valve may actually try to pull this off too. Yet, unsure if Valve wants to get into that type of business. Since it's a pretty big adoption of responsibility.

If it happens, I wonder if they'll offer it to other platforms, for a cut of course.

For real! People today have ZERO idea how hard it was to capture gameplay. Be it on PC or console.

These days, you have a million choices, and most are quality.
When I started, all I had was a hand-me-down laptop. It barely ran Minecraft. 🤣 So, stuff like FRAPS was a no go for me. So, this came in clutch with my Xbox 360.

The first game I beat on Stream, the original Dark Souls. Fun times. 😂
Remember when owning this meant you were taking YouTube/Streaming seriously?

Those days were fun. #youtube #gaming
Every time I open up my training program to learn Python, or any of the other things my company wants me to learn.
What's awesome? Video Games.

What's fun? Video Games.

What's not fun? Complaining about stuff unrelated to the video game itself, cause you've made a hobby your identity and anything that strays directly from pandering to you makes you "waah waah" like you have a dirty diaper.
What did everyone pick up during the Autumn Steam Sale?

Picked up mostly indie stuff.

Fields of Mistria - Great cozy game with solid QoL features.

Venaitura - Throwback JRPG style game. Very Dragon Quest for NES.

Two Point Campus - I wanted another sim builder and Two Point games are fun.
