A family friend died recently and the momento from the funeral was bottles of his favourite hot sauce.
Legend.

A rant.

If you are late to drop your kids off at school or public transport, that does not make you exempt from rules of the road nor to put others lives at risk.

A bunch of kids and parents were almost taken out this morning by a driver (rule H2!) turning into a road.
Maybe I should have done this earlier in my life but basic brick laying is harder than it looks.
Reminder esp for drivers on the Highway Code with new school year in UK 👇

"Rule H2 - Rule for drivers, motorcyclists, horse drawn vehicles, horse riders and cyclists.

At a junction you should GIVE WAY to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning"

Lad #2: Dad, how long do we have to spend at the beach for our eyes to turn blue like Paul Atreides ?
(Me, wiping a tear away with pride)
To the lovely souls who stole my wife's bike, you left the Brompton.
No class.
Ctrl + PrtScn then Ctrl + V into paint, still my favourite shortcut.

While we’re still figuring out life on Earth, Voyager 1 is 15 billion miles away, cruising on 69KB, an 8-track, and 1977s Fortran like it’s nothing.
Just me or is the tannoy voice on the Metro, similar to the voice on the solido projector from Dune?
Either a new vegetable for the table this week or something is going to spawn from this Juggernaut shape Alien style.

Have an awesome trip!

To anyone in the north east who is still trying to work out today's wordle, my apologies as my boy shouted out the answer down the street to the mother in law...
World #DrowningPrevention day is 25 July.

My effort in raising awareness in the community (#5) to help red + yellow flags and their meaning at the beach.

I almost drowned many years ago when I didn't swim between the flags 😔

Learn to swim + float to live...

A WHO infographic titled “Drowning is preventable” on a blue water-themed background. It encourages five precautionary actions:

Install barriers that control access to water

Create safe spaces for children if water is close by

Build your swimming and water safety skills

Learn how to perform safe rescue and resuscitation

Raise awareness in your community
Proud to be part of the #RNLI Tynemouth crew, I've made the team board and now on second stage with boat crew training.

Amazing turnout at our lifeboat day today.

Thank you if you came (apologies if I didn't see you).

NEW: 12 of England’s 13 regional mayors* have signed up to develop a “national active travel network”, based initially on safer routes to schools. This includes Labour mayors, and two Tories *and* Reform’s Luke Campbell. Are the transport culture wars over?
