The last of the oysters we cleaned this morning. Next Wednesday they'll be deployed in the Firth of Forth as part of #RestorationForth Here's hoping they do well. @wwfscotland.bsky.social @mcsuk.bsky.social @seabirdcentre.bsky.social
Enjoyable day cleaning oysters with #RestorationForth at Heriot Watt university yesterday. @wwfscotland.bsky.social @mcsuk.bsky.social @seabirdcentre.bsky.social
How to say you're in Liverpool without saying you're in Liverpool.
Another Monday morning spent with @wolct.bsky.social wading in the Water of Leith upstream of Currie Kirk seeking out Japanese Knotweed. One plant spotted, some Balsam removed as well as 2 bags of litter.
Dreadnought pub is absolutely worth a visit
This picture doesn't really show how breezy it still is this morning. Saw a couple of trees had fallen onto the path but this section of the Chancelot path was very clear of leaves and branches. Still managing shorts & no gloves.
Beautiful photo and a great place for a drink. We also had a great sunset for our family get together the night before our son's wedding.

Blessed my son and daughter in law today as part of Dashain celebrations for the first time. It's great to be learning about another culture and also experiencing it 🇳🇵
Waded with fellow @wolct.bsky.social volunteers along the Water of Leith between Saughton Park & Gorgie Road bridge today seeking Japanese Knotweed. None spotted but some Balsam dealt with plus 3 bags of litter removed 💪
Thought we'd have a quick pint on the way home, not often we visit a pub on the south side of town. Haybob and Black Isle blonde.
Afternoon visit to #RoyalObservatory as part of Doors Open Day. Couldn't visit the Victorian telescope dome so here's a wee pic of it with Arthur's Seat in the background.
Newhaven harbour looking good in the sunshine this morning as I walked past on my way to the gym.
Beautiful autumn morning spent in Holyrood Park cutting back gorse with the ranger service. We were widening the fire break around two rock whitebeam trees.
Beautiful autumn day to be out seagrass mapping with #RestorationForth at Tyninghame beach.

A bonus wade this morning with @wolct.bsky.social looking out for Japanese Knotweed on the Water of Leith. None found but we did manage to get some litter picked.
First time visiting this place last night. Good beer and a lively buzz. Any ideas @secretedinburgh.bsky.social?
Cracking day at Heriot Watt university cleaning oysters 🦪 with the Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project. They'll be deployed next week in the Dornoch Firth @mcsuk.bsky.social
Breezy night at Easter Road cheering on Hibs women against Inter Milan. A 4-1 deficit was always going to be hard to pull back, however 0-1 defeat tonight was harsh, not fully reflective of the match #GGTTH
Caitlin describes our morning much more succinctly than myself!
Brilliant to be back on the Forth today! This time for BRUV (baited remote underwater video) surveys with the #RestorationForth team & our fab volunteers 🌊🦪🤩 @mcsuk.bsky.social @wwfscotland.bsky.social
Out on the Firth of Forth today with Restoration Forth putting down bait and video recording what is attracted on the oyster deployment site and on a control site. All still needs to be properly recorded but so interesting. @mcsuk.bsky.social @wwfscotland.bsky.social
Week 2 of the Love Music Community Choir autumn term. We had a few basses missing tonight but still a fun rehearsal at the Usher Hall. I will need to work on my Welsh pronunciation however.
A Monday morning task with @wolct.bsky.social wading upstream from Kinleith Mill. Not too much litter although I did find a suitcase. Always a nice stretch to wade.
Not sure what middle-aged is, however I do often apologise to young people for the mess created by my generation and try to prove that there are some of us who want to improve the situation.
Summoned my inner school master vibe to take part in Edinburgh 900 walking parade yesterday with the Victorian School Room at Heart of Newhaven. Fantastic to see so many different countries and cultures represented.
This fulmar was keeping an eye on me as I was clearing tree mallow on Fidra with SOS Puffin #SuperSeabirdSunday
