An important read from my always brilliant supervisor Eyal Benvenisti.
Eminent law professor Eyal Benvenisti explains we may be reverting, at least for now, to an era of imperial rule. But history has demonstrated that international law has a long memory.

How can lawyers & historians preserve the rule of law?

The Resilience of International Law in the Face of Empire
We may be effectively reverting to an era of imperial rule. But history has demonstrated that international law has a long memory.

Out Thursday: There’s prospects of a trial but has anything happened for alleged victims since the shocking allegations of war crimes by Australian SAS soldiers in Afghanistan came to light?

We examine what—if any—justice has been delivered for Afghan survivors.
We're hiring at UNB Law!

Two of these positions will fill teaching needs in 1L criminal Law.

The other position will fill upper-year teaching needs (e.g. business law, environmental law, workplace law, maritime Law, remedies, and

Today in my "Law of Disasters and Emergency" seminar, students are drafting hazard and vulnerability assessments for their mock firms.

We'll build over the semester to a novel disaster that the class has to "lawyer" their way through.
Thanks for the prompt John, that's excellent! I've just added to the thread with a photo with alt text. Wonderful Bluesky has this feature!

Local New Brunswick history...that time King Charles met Johnny Cash in a Fredericton locker room

Prince Charles with Johnny Cash.
Don't get me wrong, it's a banger! But I tend to prefer my eurodance after my morning coffee.
Toddler certainly thought so 😅
And the moment will arrive in the unseemly hours one morning...

While your laptop glows with end of term lecture prep...

And toddler's hurling bananas at the wall...

and the algorithms' decided on rousing Cotton Eye Joe...

That you'll realize...you don't feel imposter syndrome anymore.
For those in Cambridge, Hoi Kong is not to be missed. Looks excellent!
