Just a little engine valve damage!
A car's HVAC system manages the temperature, airflow, and humidity inside the cabin using a combination of heating and air conditioning subsystems. The air conditioning part uses a refrigerant to cool and dehumidify the air, while the heating part uses hot engine coolant to warm the air.
So, Engine Compression is the pressure created, inside each of the engine’s cylinders.
And, low or no compression leads to, incomplete combustion and misfires.
Symptoms of low engine compression can be, an illuminated (CEL), and the engine running rough or misfiring.
Engine cylinders are deglazed to create a rough, crosshatch pattern on the cylinder walls, which is necessary for new piston rings to seat and seal properly. This process removes the overly-smooth "glaze" that develops over time, which prevents oil from clinging to the cylinder walls.
Worn starter and ring gear teeth are typically caused by starter engagement issues, misalignment, or excessive wear from grinding, and require replacement of the damaged components.
Congratulations to both of you! Looking forward to the battle of the kitchen aids!👀🧁🍥🍰🎂
A cracked flexplate can cause various noises, including a knocking, rattling, ticking, or grinding sound, particularly from the bell housing area at idle. These sounds can be misdiagnosed as engine problems like bad rod bearings. Other symptoms include vibrations and a loss of power.
My golden Retriever does the same thing!
A compression test measures a cylinder's peak pressure during engine cranking, indicating its overall ability to hold pressure, while a cylinder leak-down test is a more detailed, static test that uses an external air compressor to measure the rate of air leakage from the cylinder.
