Two birds Tokyo has in abundance are Herons and Egrets, so the last two #BirdOfTheDay posts have been very timely for me. Here's a #Heron from my recent #Tokyo trip, perched on a roof outside the Imperial Palace Gardens.

I've been away on a trip to Tokyo and mostly avoided social media. Now I'm back, and Rob's choice of #egret for #BirdOfTheDay is very fitting as Tokyo was full of them! Here's one of many I captured there.

#BirdOfTheDay theme is #birdsinmygarden - We have a #wren who visits most days but is usually quite elusive. Today it spent some time bobbing along the hedge hunting for spiders!
