They already have platforms, and I will spend so much on this that you can't disagree

#canoeing
Still thinking about building this pier, by the lakeside. It just means I have a platform to go early-morning or dusk paddling on the lake

Mist/fog etc could be a problem. I think it will be an easter-egg for anyone who recognises the value of a nice paddle, possibly with a joint
Net Zero, is king. A new age will come
Planting explosive devices in equipment used by ICE
Like, Zeke Hausfather promoting hydrofracturing. It's bum
Precisely. I love your work on methane vis-à-vis hydrofracturing

I do believe you though, it will be a tough fight - and potentially the US could come out alive
If Bruegel(-s) continues it's anti-hydrogen stance on EU industrial policy, just like a few in the Commission, we all know how fucked we are by these wasteful miscreants
To remind people: #shareholders and conventional monetary policy are protecting (redundant) fossil shareholder assets+subsidised remuneration from the inevitable shift to low cost renewables+ #hydrogen

Maintaining the fossil economy is going to cost 100x more than a structured transition - soon
38 trillion dollars in damages each year: World economy already committed to income reduction of 19 % due to climate change
17.04.2024 - Even if CO2 emissions were to be drastically cut down starting today, the world economy is already committed to an income reduction of 19 % until 2050 due to climate change, a new study p...

Green hydrogen could get to $1/kg, being a rounding error for most cost prices of delivered goods, if it were given the same leniency and privileges as fossil fuels right now
More fossil fuels/LNG? It's not economically viable for many more years. We know what is happening, the costs are obvious, and without a structured shift to low cost #hydrogen and renewables the US is going to lose to the point of total insolvency

Hydrogen for $2-3/kg is half the price of diesel
The US is spending half a trillion on economic losses due to climate change, per year. It has a discretionary budget of $5.5 trillion. Clinging to petrodollar hegemony is a false economy

It has $1 trillion in interest repayments per year

The US has to change course - to #hydrogen
Essentially, all the economic punishment Trump is inflicting on the US today would be equivalent (in the immediate/short term) to what would happen with a radical shift to renewables and mostly #hydrogen

Trillions spent on data centres? Bills rising by 30% or so?

It's cheap to get to net zero
No mention of sustainability..

But hey, yes, when the CO2 infrastructure is in place you can talk about it. I have faith 🙏
Well, a fake name and an AI-generated picture..
Pretty dark, Dave. What about the new administration in 2028? We need this #hydrogen..
Dual interest rates, one-for-one capital requirements rule on fossil lending, and taxes for #shareholders

#shareholdercapitalism
We show that interest rate hikes by central banks are less powerful in reducing inflation than conventional wisdom suggests. Correcting for publication bias, the output cost of reducing inflation increases. Based on our meta-study of 145,000 point estimates and confidence bounds.
This needs to be inserted as a warning label on every economics textbook ever published

I'm subscribed to their newsletter. Cool hearing about different commercially available foods using Solein. Food from electrolysis

Pity the European Parliament have again banned alternative animal products from being proactively labelled to maintain wasteful and destructive dairy and meat subsidies
