Oh dear. I’ve been having bad shoulder pain for weeks. Monday I woke up in agony and unable to use my arm properly. Apparently I’ve had a partial dislocation for a good while and then in my sleep decided to fully dislocate it.

The joys of being hypermobile!

Any tips on speedy healing?

As a Dark Sky Officer, I’m on the side of darkness. We really need to learn to lean into the darker days and look at it them as an opportunity for restoration, reflection and calm after a hectic spring/summer. Seasonal beings!

I know what group will be hijacking the celebrations and it will turn my stomach.

Funnily enough, I’m seeing a distinct lack of the usual ‘poppy fever’. I guess there’s no time to remember when you’re stomping all over the ideals your ancestors fought for.

Armistice day is a mere few weeks away.

How will our politicians stand at those cenotaphs and solemnly swear ‘never again’ whilst a genocide takes place once more?

The real purpose of remembrance is to not glorify acts of war, but to remember what was lost in the name of peace.
