#whatarewedrinking It’s not a visit to San Diego without a stop at Raised by Wolves. Their Banana Cream Flip is truly one of my favorite cocktails on the planet. Creme de Banane, Pandan, coconut, egg custard, absinthe. Outstanding.

Did everyone know that certain grasshoppers turn into locusts when they’re crowded or stressed? Locusts aren’t their own species. (Okay, scientific oversimplification, but still…) Once they turn, they’re locusts until the end of their lifecycle. It’s like a proper comic book mutant scenario. Wild!

Old lady rant: I’m worried that lack of etiquette will be the true downfall of movie theaters. Sure, concessions and tickets are expensive, but they always have been. The new monster is post-Covid crowds who don’t seem to realize they’re not in their own homes. Cell phones, talking, munching. Ugh.
