i usually like his videos but his takes on newsom being good were questionable even if he was trying to show him being on the offensive as a good thing (it was, even if cringe), but lets not pretend he's not an ethically depraved clown on a LOT of key problems like geez.

Idk as someone whos suffered addiction MANY times, i can empathize with people who get addicted to something innocuous or something that gives them temporary joy that they desperately want to achieve again. One person's comfort can be another person's fix, and it sucks!

And like i said i wouldnt blame the work for this necessarily. I think labeling it "porn addiction" here puts the ownus on the work causing it rather than the addict suffering from deeper issues that drawing porn plays into. It coulda been anything, but it ended up being that, yaknow?

So like, if its people hopping out cuz they dont want their *viewers* addicted to their stuff, that does sound like shame yeah.

But if someone's just REALLY into their own work and develop a fixation around it and maybe engage with it too often for their taste, thats probably something else

Addiction is a complicated subject and often is a result of someone filling a hole and chasing a high, which, outside of addictive chemicles, can really be anything. Its not necessarily the fault of what they're addicted to; video game addiction for ex is usually not actually about games of course.

But anything short of a redesign would just have the fundamental issues with those sections that make them unfun, and that applies to way more of the game. And at the end of the day that makes it not 06, but someone else's *version of* 06. Meaning the game wasnt always, like, secretly good.

Yeah the game was released with design decisions that are themselves just not good. I think chaos even said hes struggling to work out how to make the elise sections fun enough that they dont feel like an objective downgrade from sonic's usual movement kit. Personally i dont think you can!

"Its good if you change fundamental problems with the game's design" is not exactly an argument for it being "always good" lol. Every game ever is *potentially* good. 06 isnt special :p

Performance improvements are significant sure but those are hardware limits vs BAD IDEAS (tails run speed for ex)

Notice that the rules specify every *user* must be treated with respect.

I don't recall charlie "unfortunately gun deaths are necessary to protect the second ammendment" kirk being a user of bluesky 🤔 curious.

Clearly they say "user" habitually but actually their priority is People of Interest.
