Now spinning Old and in the Way, an incredible album that in it's way kept bluegrass alive for popular audiences through the 70s and 80s. This is a deeply important record in the grand scope of human history.

What's the weekend bong look like?
I need to find this one. I have Dirty Computer on a 45rpm LP and it's likely the best pressed album I own. She really pays attention to detail.
I wore that Nazareth record out back in the day. So fun!
Now spinning Neil Diamond's Hot August Night, one of the best live albums out there. What a show that must've been! The mofi is a great pressing and, for a mofi, not expensive.

Yes, he was right to do so. Look, I get it, you're super political and you read Wikipedia and you have stances. We probably agree on a lot to be honest. So, keep fighting the good fight. I've got other albums to spin.
I know he worked in South Africa, Scoldilocks. I think he was right to do so. I've explained why. If you have a substantive response to my reasons, I'm happy to entertain it, but, you're in someone else's feed posting wikipedia entries as if that's an argument. Think on your own.

yes, great art.
Refusing to perform for segregated audiences is a boycott I can support, but refusing to work with black South African musicians is just absurd. A more nuanced approach was warranted. Simon did that. I saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo in 88, a cultural exchange wouldn't have happened without Graceland.
They were critical of it but later changed their minds. This is something reasonable people can disagree on, but to be honest, I don't think the cultural boycott was thought through. Imagine boycotting BB King because of Jim Crow.
I've made plenty of dubious ethical choices, but liking Graceland isn't one of them. Maybe you should take up your argument with Nelson Mandela and the ANC, who had him perform in post-apartheid SA.
No, you're right, I'll stick with "most." I'd hate to be accused of making progress.
Sure, but a lot of people saw it the way Simon did. I agreed with him at the time and still do.
I haven't listened to Stranger to Stranger. I'll check it out!
The other musicians on the project probably deserved more writing credit.
I haven't listened to that Dylan album. I'll give it a spin.
Must've been a great show
A lot of my favorite records followed that same pattern!
Also a great album. Definitely.
There was, but as I recall, most people understood that it was a bad idea to prevent black South African musicians from getting exposure.
That's such a good record!
