๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Sara Casasola stays flawless and takes the victory and lead in the Superprestige ๐Ÿ†

She's even better than last Winter

๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Blanka Vas usually needs a few weeks to be at her best

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช Marion Norbert Riberolle had so much bad luck today, still 6th.

Some people should do some historical research before they say something out loud.

Perhaps only the world population is correct in this statement.

"Merckx was competing when there were only four billion people on the planet. Only four countries were good at it, and some of the guys he raced against were still working."

If we did the same in road cycling, we would only have World Tour races in France, Belgium and Italy now...
If they don't want to travel, too bad for them. They will miss on points and prize riders against those who want to travel. Organize 3 World Cups in the USA. For those who want to cross the ocean, it's going to be a big opportunity to take a big gap on their opponents.
๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ Cyclocross World Cup map

The sport fights clearly below it's potential. Little distraction by other disciplines, many well known stars, a format that suits Gen Z audiences.

But the UCI doesn't use its potential to make the sport more inclusive to more countries

I'm very happy that cyclists can spend more time with their family but it's not really a nice societal evolution that people get less & less social with people overall. It's not so harmful to watch the TDF presentation together with your colleagues and talk to the press who inform your fans.
I'm not saying that cycling didn't evolve, but I'm already reading for at least 15 years that riders start training again late October/Early November. It's not like they were lazy in the past. They can also take their families with them to camps & races while that was forbidden before by DS'es
It has been like that for already 10 years, and I'm not talking even about older days when riders did many six days races during Winter.
The peloton is less international than 10 years ago. The peloton is more (Western)European than in the 2010s & 2000s. I published that before.
It's just one day, and most big riders only start their season, late February/early March. We're not like in those days anymore where Nibali finished his season in mid October in Lombardy, and started again mid January in Argentina. Riders also have less race days overall.
Where are the times that riders were present at the Tour de France presentation itself?

When being invited or not invited even showed how important you were.

It's all becoming less & less social, more & more distanced.

It's not sure yet that Remco Evenepoel will be at the start of next year's Tour de France.

The team is considering to make Lipowitz the only leader due to the short time trial.

They will wait on the parcours of the Giro & Vuelta before making a final decision

Some very nice ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Hungarian spices for cyclocross again โœจ

Blanka Vas will contest the best again on Sunday.

What do you expect this Winter, by this mega-talent?

Former boxer Sophie Alisch gets a contract from Canyon//SRAM, without ever racing before.

With all respect for her potential, but there are still plenty of talented riders with decent results who don't get a contract

I sometimes have doubts about recruitment priorities
#cycling #cyclingbluesky
Tota Magalhaes extends her contract until 2029.

As far as I know, it's the first time that a rider outside the top 500 of the UCI Ranking receives a 4 year extension of his/her contract.

A very valued team member.

I think they proved to have a good selection with Scandinavians only. It also makes them more attractive for big local sponsors. Euskaltel & Qhubeka also gave up their soul out of opportunism before but it also didn't end up well for them.
โœจ Interesting new project in women's cycling.

Ma Petite Entreprise applied for a ProTeam license. The team does not have one main sponsor, but relies on many small French entrepreneurs who can put their name on the shirt.

I'm curious how far this project can go.

#cycling #cyclingbluesky
For the first time since 2013, a Scandinavian team will be in the highest tier of the sport.

After ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Saxo Bank, now ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด Uno-X will join the World Tour after a 13 year hiatus, even with only Scandinavian riders this time.

#cycling #cyclingbluesky
Can Cofidis still get a WT license?

Surprisingly, Jayco-AlUla didn't apply for a WT license yet while the French team was able to hand in their documents.

If Jayco-AlUla doesn't bring in their files before the 1st November then the French will stay in the World Tour.
