My original comment, about how pre-brexit, the French border controls were sometimes empty, and how you could drive slowly past, holding up your passports, if there was anyone there, referred to Eurotunnel. I can't speak for Dover (I don't like ferries!)

Did the BBC also point out that Boris Johnson promised the folk of this country that there would be absolutely no restrictions on entering or staying the EU following Brexit?

Whatever was the case then, the new experience, foisted on us by the Tories, will come as a shock to folk.

And then there is the visa to come, next year.

At Eurotunnel, around 7-8am, this was often the case prior to Brexit.

And even if there was someone in the booth, we drove past, slowly, simply holding up our passports as we went by.

Prior to Brexit, there were times when the French Border post was completely empty with no-one checking passports.

And the queues/delays whenever I travelled through Eurotunnel were always much worse coming into the UK compared to heading for France.

They do realise that other folk around the world use social media and the same ones as US citizens, don't they?

As a Brit, purely out of interest, how will they recognise and survey only the social media of US citizens?

And while she is saying this, UK travellers to the EU are making sure that they don't have one centilitre of booze over their imposed restrictions when entering the UK (unlike before Brexit when there were no restrictions on imports).

And while she is saying this, the biometric machines to take fingerprints and facial scans are waiting to be unveiled in order to ensure UK citizens comply with the rules imposed by Brexit, at Eurotunnel, (and, presumably, at other border points).
