“No thanks, I’d rather drown.”

I think he was under a lot of pressure to find someone to continue on with the Raven’s defensive scheme, and while Wink fit the bill he’s not been a great fit for college ball. I’d rather he find someone who’s a good fit for what Michigan is now rather than for what some past coaching staff did.

I saw that live on TV last night, and it was pretty incredible.

I get the extra covid season, but I still can’t wrap my head around how some of these guys are getting so much eligibility.

Also, I just looked it up and he’s STILL playing at Northern Colorado!
cunningcoreyham.bsky.social
Ok, so I did some googling and just now realized that somehow is brother Dylan is STILL playing for Northern Colorado!?!?

Isn’t the whole point to undercut the false claims that Portland is a burning hellscape? It’s really hard to take the feds warnings about crime and danger seriously when all we’re seeing is people twerking in inflatable frog costumes in the streets.

I raided my parents’ basement a while back and found a bunch of my old systems. I now have a little museum going on in my office. The only thing I didn’t set up is my PS1, because you can play those games on the PS2 (I have no idea where my Sega ever went to).

Mumford & Sons did this when they played in 2016, and I’m not particularly a fan of them but they have two songs that were played a lot at the bar trivia I attended in grad school that I grew to kind of like, and they played both up top so I got to leave early and beat the crowd.

There's no "regular politics" anymore because you can no longer maintain the idea that we all agree on common goals but we only differ about the means of getting there or whatever. The guys in charge now are plainly amoral, sadistic nihilists. They delight in it! You can't civilly disagree with that

I was thinking of my own list, and it’s amazing which schools took me a minute to remember because I still don’t really identify them as Big Ten.

Both my parents and half my family are Nebraska grads, I’ve been to Lincoln dozens of times, and yet I still forget they’re not in the Big 12 anymore.

All these right-wing pundits suddenly realizing “Gee, there seem to be a lot of confused and angry young men who have been radicalized by the internet out here.”

Yeah man that’s crazy, I wonder how that could have happened.

Also, that was only a few weeks after I had gone on a Twitter rant calling him racist for claiming he was doing it “singlehandedly” while ignoring all the people of color who were doing WAY more to advance guitar-based music than him.

I met him back when I was working at the guitar shop in Austin. Spoiler alert: he was an asshole.

Somehow the people decrying anyone who disagrees with them as part of a hysterical mob are also the first ones to label their detractors as “smug” and “condescending.”

Also, I think people really underestimate how good Harbaugh is at making coaching hires. Dude had a pretty incredible hit rate.
cunningcoreyham.bsky.social
Hiring Lindsay was a step in the right direction and felt like a move towards a program that reflects his own identity independent of Harbaugh. I think he can get there eventually, it’s all a matter of will he do it quickly enough/will they give him enough time.
cunningcoreyham.bsky.social
I like Sherrone and think he was a good choice given the situation, but I absolutely think he’s been hampered by the expectation to “just be Harbaugh again,” and I don’t know that he had the experience or self assurance to really fight against that all that much.

Yeah, and I haven’t dealt much with weekday traffic in Chicago because, ironically, if I’m down there then I’m taking the train in and walking or taking public transit everywhere.

I’ve always been told horror stories about driving in Chicago, but I’ve never found it as bad as Minneapolis. Granted, I was in my early 20’s when I started driving in Minneapolis and much older when I started in Chicago, but still.

I had Wisconsin plates at the time, so that may explain some of it, but it was always jarring considering how generally nice people in Minnesota are. I grew up along the border so I’m used to the playful rivalry and passive aggression, but downtown Minneapolis was very different.
