russia is doing this everywhere. First it bans higher education in your language so if you want to get a degree you need to know russian. Next people stop putting their kids in schools with native language because they won't get into university and every parent wants the best for their kids

Unfortunately it worked with Belarusian language. Most of the country just speaks russian now. From Wikipedia: "In 2016, only 13% of pupils in Belarus attended elementary schools where the language of instruction was Belarusian"

Bueno, puede ser por varias razones, a veces simplemente se las separa cuando están en las cuadras por motivos de seguridad de las propias crías 🐄 O si están débiles o necesitan algún tratamiento, y después se las junta para que se alimenten 👍☺️☺️☺️

Sidewalk sheds span over 380 miles of scaffolding that would cover more than 7,500 city blocks.

Over a thousand sheds have been up for 3 or more years.

Earlier this year, the City Council, led by @keithpowersnyc.bsky.social and @ebottcher.bsky.social, passed a legislative package that provides a strong foundation to get scaffolding down and improve safety and design.

But Mayor Adams has barely put it to use.

We need real enforcement — and a plan.

Ours begins with bringing down the sheds that have been up on hundreds of City properties for more than 3 years.

And we'll prioritize investments in preventative maintenance to reduce the need for scaffolding in the first place.

We've come a long way in building engineering safety—it's time our regulations caught up.

While we must ensure that older buildings with more brittle facades are safe for the public, longer inspection timelines are more appropriate for newer buildings.

To supplement the newly passed Council legislation that increases fines for properties with never-ending sheds, we'll also pursue ways to incentivize buildings to get scaffolding down quickly.
