Nomad doesn't quite use terms like "Phong Shading", but that is basically the equivalent in programs like Blender or Maya, etc. :)

The 'secret sauce' I think (or at least what I've figured out), is to use limited textures, and if you do use them, try to make them relatively low-res and limited colors, but otherwise, I rely a lot on making things with just colored geometry with more "metallic" and reflective shading.

I made it to where folks can turn the CRT filter on/off last night, but dang, it looks so different with it off!

Nintendo made a new Famicom Detective Club. Every Ace Attorney game is now in English. Another Code was revived, fueling desire for Kyle Hyde remakes.

I feel like I'm literally throwing stuff together, but when you shrink it down and run it in-game, you kinda get that feeling that is what folks back in the 90's were doing, too, lol

No shaders! I basically scaled down a 4k render to in relation to Mina, and the game itself is at 320 x 180 resolution.

I shrink the render from Nomad in Photoshop and set it to 8-bit color depth to make it crunch it some more.
