Some rando on Instagram told me in the same comment that I look white, that I look like I try to look white, and that I should “stick to my own kind.” Which I’m not sure as a white/Arab person, if that means I should only date white people or Arab people.

Indeed. I definitely don’t think my dad would be able to get in now either. And he spent his entire career being a model citizen & helping the US as an aerospace engineer. They won’t even let my uncle come visit.

My father came here legally, on a student visa, and then he met my mother here & married her & people are still nasty to him because he’s brown. My own brother-in-law told me he should have taken a bomb to the face before coming here (my husband won’t talk to him anymore).
