Just a typical childless cat dad married to a childless cat lady. Los Angeles (Koreatown) resident. Originally from Buchannon, WV and Killbuck, OH (my parents had a thing for Bucks apparently).

7/x: For someone coming online late to the party, the definition of liberal changed on me. And it has the same feeling as having to look up why "6 7" is funny or what the deal with Skibidi Toilet.
6/x: This is the sketch I mean. Sometimes when talking to the in-group even as a grown ass adult, this is basically the interaction.

5/x: I know there are some Indie Band lovers making fun of the normies protesting on Saturday, but not everyone can protest an ICE facility everyday. Not everyone can put on an album of Legendary Stardust Cowboy and actually enjoy it. Some of us are just boring people who play lofi hiphop.
4/x: Then when I got older and went to college, it was Indie Bands that suddenly had to learn about. There was an insider/outsider circle. I basically went to a hipster record shop and asked about bands. Guy basically made fun of me like the HiFi sketch, but oh wells...
3/x: Best analogy was when I was a kid we didn't really watch TV except PBS. So when kids talked about shows I had no clue. I actually had my mom buy TV Guides (it was a book so she was cool with that) so I had an idea on what was going on. Couldn't talk about the show but at least I knew.
2/x: So I went online with restrictions and guardrails for myself to keep in touch. I am still the quiet kid of the group but at least I have an idea of what the hell is going on.
1 of x: Hope this makes sense to people: I was someone who wasn't on social media Pre-Trump 2.0. I was only getting my news and info from accredited news sources. It was a conscious decision. I find (still do) social media unhealthy for me.

But when Trump won I felt like I was out of sync.
Stations look ready to go, but I guess there are a lot of little bits to get done. I am a K-Town resident so I can't wait. We haven't been to the Tar Pit museum so we plan on going then.
Moved to Los Angeles from Ohio 10-years ago. I thought the whole LA reaction to rain was over-exaggerated. Then I realized it was real and Angelenos were silly to react that way.

Now I go: OH MY GOD IT'S RAIN!!!!!
Ah my apologies, I guess I sign up here: emergency.lacity.gov/notifyla

I SWEAR I did sign up for this during the fires. I guess I didn't?

I wonder if we're hitting some character limit (an expert in this field would have to weigh in) and so it's truncating the body of the message to make sure the URL and receipt request is in the text.

As an aside, as an LA resident, I didn't get this message.
As someone who struggles to receive criticism (but thankfully not a public figure), this is a great lesson of what TO do.

In contrast, way too many comedians (an YA authors) have only shown what NOT to do.
I work for an IT firm, and we have a script/process we run to disable Boomer News that's the default for MS Edge.
I've seen better passing of German Architecture with music in the background from travel YouTubers. And the ones I like aren't Nazis.
Ahh so that's what they call Beanie Weenies over there...
Check out Surawon Tofu House sometime. Classic koreatown place. Used to be a Mexican restaurant (I think. It has cactuses) that's now Korean.

I will have check out Zzamong. I live in Ktown but we have so many places.

It's a korean chain, but Jjamppong zizon was good.
I would have recommended Gol Tong Chicken but he is closed today and tomorrow (just one guy).

If you want to stay nearby walking around and finding what looks good and is popular is always a good tactic.

Otherwise: Borit Gogae, Hangari, Sun Nong Dan, BCD Tofu

Any KBBQ place is going to be good.
A game called, "Head Popper Simulator 2000" No problem! But a game called, "Naked Consenting Adults" Now we have a problem.
Hey now! The Portland Frog even said he works for Soros so it must be true!

Clearly the only motivator for people is wealth and not causes or helping the community.

No one is capable of ACTUALLY caring for the community.

(Obvious Sarcasm)
My parents did a good job to raise me to never be petty. Or to never feel joy out of others failures.

But you know what? I think some exceptions are allowed.
Ah, some of the words rubbed off.

It used to say, MR. IS SWEET ON YOUR POTATOES.
You could argue that goulash has no universal meaning. Every region has something different and often aren't even recognizable from each other. But that's good. People are using what's cheap and available. In the US, macaroni and melting cheeses are cheap as chips.
Food should adapt to what you have available. I get wanting to say names of food should mean something.

I just get a little annoyed when people say you can only something like Paella, Paella if it only has X ingredients. But it was a peasant dish and where the hell am I going to get Rabbit?
It always amazes me how pissy Italians can get about their food.

Carbonara is an example. Italians get mad that Americans use bacon. But guanciale is expensive and hard to get. Bacon is not.

It most likely came about from American occupation of Italy during WW2. Americans brought bacon...
