Thank you, Sandra. He was a humble man. It wasn’t until he died that I wrote a FB obit and understood what connected all his projects: it was always the pursuit of justice for people for whom it was denied.

An Israeli strike near a hospital in Gaza City on Sunday night killed five Al Jazeera journalists. The Israeli military said it had targeted one of the men killed, Anas al-Sharif, accusing him of being a Hamas fighter posing as a reporter. He and Al Jazeera had denied the allegation.
