IM SO SORRY 😭😭😭
sorry to hear but wanted to say good luck btw!!
we as a society need to stop letting jack antonoff produce music
it's riot so i'm waiting for them to cringe it up inevitably LMAO but man... for now i kind of can't beileve what i'm playing
it's really bringing me back to old 2012 marvel days as far as just how free and open the engine is. it's an imagination game, truly, which is not a feeling that a Single fighting game (or game, for that matter) ive played since those days has been able to capture in the same way
ok so after making my whinepost a friend did invite me to the 2xko beta

ive only gotten to play a bit, but so far i have Extremely high impressions that are vastly on the rise

i do have concerns about ease of play, game feels complicated + hard to me but many new ppl are finding it easy so /shrug
we started expedition 33 recently and we're having a great time but sadly the parallels have once again reignited my fixation on xc3 and i need help

i just don't know if there will ever be another game like it for me. i appreciate it more with every passing month, every passing game
didnt get into 2xko... :(

honestly i dont know if i have the mental energy to go begging for a code on the internet atp but consider me sad
i also want to clarify I'm glad to have played it! it was a memorable experience certainly, and it is definitely up my alley. i wish things about it were different but so it goes.
my more intelligent and eloquent half dropped a very detailed In Stars and Time review today! i pretty largely agree with it, but I also definitely owe Jerry my own thoughts, and I feel I might as well share in general while the game is fresh on my mind

spoilers within

^^ thank you, i hope you're doing well too!
anyway I'm rambling but every now and then i get an urge to post something and say hi, im still alive, im still gaming and vibing and listening to music and being a hermit and generally having a good time
like a huge part of the problem is i can get away with very lazily playing p3r or other such RPGs on the side during work cause they're voiced games with lots of downtime, but silksong... i dunno about that one

i also didn't Love hollow knight so im not in a huge rush ig
switch 2 is collecting dust since nintendo killed the Mario kart netplay like as soon as i got it lmao shrug

i dunno what im gonna do about silksong... I have interest in it for sure but I honestly don't know if now is the right time. im fomoing for sure but like maybe I wait
now we're going through in stars and time and otherwise still playing TFT, so no shortage of fun stuff. im also playing p3r on my own time and really enjoying it, plus still keeping up with HSR and i have my eyes on 2xko beta, if i get in...
ive been so quiet on here and the other app lately but really just not a whole ton to say even though i miss interacting

we finished up blue prince and im waiting for one or two peeps to finish before i give a proper reaction, but i really liked it! it's my favorite game that ive played in a while
and sure, some just explode and disappear in one patch and it's just a gacha game moment... but i feel something for all of these characters, i really do. ive spent so much game time and like moving towards a year of real time with them at this point. the amount that helps cannot be overstated.
and my last thought for tonight, it's so awesome that amphoreus has the benefit of time that penacony didn't. penacony got 4 patches, and 1 was an epilogue-type deal. it was so rushed. amphoreus getting 6 so far and more to come has given us so much more time with these characters
and i think that with amphoreus, especially the way they were able to immerse us in this world and give us such raw emotional beats in the micro but still have it all tie in to the big picture intricate space sci fi narrative is just so impressive to me
and it's crazy that we got here because after penacony i thought we were doomed. we had like 5 straight bad patches. amphoreus introduction may be the worst thing ive ever played. it's entirely possible. i literally uninstalled. but something really special was cooked here
it's a gacha game with gacha game problems and gacha game pacing. but i think that penacony was something special and amphoreus Is something very special and both of these have exceeded writing in many games ive paid $60 for
im gonna say it and don't cancel me for it, but for me, hsr has definitely crossed the threshold of "this is good for a gacha game" and is now in the camp of "this is just good." it has had SO many bumps, but i think it's there at this point
i'm sure the mobile game has some redeeming qualities but most people didn't play it. just going by octopath 1 and 2, why am i invested in this world? why do i care about the origins of orsterra? let it rest and make something with character
octopath 1 worked because it was a (like it or not) visually revolutionary game that breathed a bit of life into the classic jrpg formula

octopath 2 was good because it realized the full potential of octopath 1

but i dont see how making more pointedly/intentionally generic RPGs is at all justified
i say this as someone who loved octopath 2: sincerely, it's time to stop making these games
