Renewable generation and pumped storage equalled 52% of yesterday's electricity demand, with a peak of 80% at 01:00. Fossil fuel generation (mostly gas) equalled 31% of demand. 4% of generation was exported, 20% of demand was met by imports.

Looks correct for Seattle 2012 vs 2024. In Dublin, bus reliability is our issue, too many ghost buses and objections to building bus lanes here. We are years behind Seattle with its BRT etc. Our 90min fixed time fare only started post pandemic (TFI90) 😳.

Most of Ireland's uplands are commonage, ie co-owned by local farmers.

The ONLY real income from commonage is via subsidies, almost always for ecosystem-killing sheep. This is why Irish mountains are all empty wastelands, kept that way by your taxes.

Why are we STILL not paying farmers to rewild??
