Cecilia is my favorite, Marrow is the most popular and Maggot is Maggot, he contains multitudes (or at least two).

All three get treated like crap in every subsequent story.

Absolutely insanely gorgeous art of my girl Ravonna by Aruana Sick for Marvel Snap!

This game giving me a SECOND piece for Ravonna's Terminatrix outfit was NOT on my bingo card for 2025!

Bolton is amazing. That Phoenix story with Jean is so gorgeous and unsettling

The increasing move towards distrust of all intellectuals has really done a number on "smart" characters in superhero comics (Xavier, Reed, Beast) and unfortunately it extends to the real world as well
comradebullski.bsky.social
Cynical modern writers are so enamored with the idea of the amoral or secluded hyper-intellectual that they fail to see that the best Reed is goofy-ass Kirby Reed.

(Thank God that's the characterization Rivals went with for him)

It seems his health is intrinsically tied to the franchise. When the downward slide of the mutant books started with Decimation, Chuck started getting worse and worse.

Same with Beast

Filled with cool designs we'll never see outside a lame story

He had Ed McGuinness on art and managed to make the stories forgettable. GREAT art just... yeah
comradebullski.bsky.social
No, thank God. That would make NO sense.

I'd like to hear your regular flavor hot takes tho, they can't be more provocative than mine.

Hah.

Hahhahahahahaha.

I know. That's why I said she shouldn't have existed.

Silly, Lovecraft didn't write any X-Men comics.

Jean is only interesting when she ISN'T Phoenix.

Rogue in the Savage Land is a mid-tier story at BEST.

Kwannon should not exist.

Emma was BADLY mischaracterized by Morrison and unfortunately it stuck.

All of Storm's best stories are her either having lost her powers or not using her powers.

What's an opinion about X-Men that'll get you sent to jail? Is Jean really interesting or really boring? Should Logan have stayed dead? Do you think a certain x-mens outfit is positively horrendous even though people seem to love it?

The Brood Saga is better than Dark Phoenix imo 🤷

RIP Drew Struzan! So much of my movie-watching experience growing up was choosing between different VHS tapes with Drew Struzan covers at Iggle Video.
