Kissing Gale, though, is electric. The press of a warm, soft body against his own, accompanied by the smooth slide of their lips, feels better than Astarion expected, spurred by a thrumming undercurrent of anticipation. When Gale swipes tongue along the seam of Astarion's lips, Astarion opens easily to welcome him. Drinks down the quiet, pleased noises Gale makes into his open mouth. Astarion has never thought of kissing as more than a prelude to the main event. Clearly, he's been kissing the wrong people.
