Go back to the Labour Party 2015 leader contest debates. You’ll see Burnham supporting austerity and Osborne agenda. He’s a bit of a chameleon (as did Yvette Cooper. On Corbyn challenged it and that’s why he won.)

About 50ish years ago I was told in history class in primary school that the true English were actually the Welsh . As the vikings invaded the north and east, the Romans invaded the south. The English retreated to Wales. We are a nation of immigrants. My mum has German ancestry and Dad Spanish

Mamdani scares the GOP, Trump and the elite 1%.The idea of actually using govt to make all Americans lives better, a more progressive taxation and legislation scares them.
I’ll be surprised if Mamdani survives a year.
If Mamdani survives and succeeds then govt may have socialists elected as senators

Blair as PM changed @teamlabouruk.bsky.social from working class to Oxford elites. The way Rayner has been treated Starmer continues this tradition.
Back in 1997 Blair approach may have been only one to get Labour into power. Now they need to pivot back to centre left

Trump won’t take this well. He’ll have 2 choices. 1. Change course and start delivering on his promises to the American people on affordability,or 2. Go full authoritarian. My guess he’ll go 2.
This will lead to invading states and possible deaths. Dark days ahead. Only GOP can reign him in

Is Trump admin portrayal of the stock market misleading. Heard a professor of economics of Michigan University state a lot of the rise is due to the fall of the $. That if u use other currencies the stock market not doing so great.

Rich: more tax cuts , lower CGT leads to growth. Investment in health, infrastructure unaffordable and inflationary (not if it’s paid through taxes) and wage rises inflationary.

U learn a lot from looking at data from outside UK. Do ppl know UK owns around £800b of US bonds at 5% heals ? Also the govt owns 1/3 rd of UKs total debt needed for liquidity (don’t fully understand that). So no UK is not nearly bankrupt. Anyone would think Labour has a hostile press .
