Are you sure that you're not the jerk neighbor? I mean if it's that loud, sure, knock yourself out, but your tolerance for noise, might not match that of your neighbors. If the other neighbors agree, yeah you might want to go ahead and bring the law in but if it's just you...

Having your own car and being able to maintain that car and have a consistent parking place is more expensive in the city. That's the price of having good transit and buildings close enough together for everything to be in walking distance. You have to tolerate a crowd to live in the city.

There are a lot of advantages to living in a big city. Access to jobs, access to culture, better nightlife, more stuff to do more access to different kinds of goods. More 24-hour stuff. Accessible transit. But you have to be tolerant of others. Also you can't really have a horse like in the country.

For instance, if you live in multi-unit housing, perhaps to save money, you're going to have upstairs neighbors and you're going to have to be willing to tolerate them walking around their house normally. If you don't like that, don't live in an apartment.

You could talk to your neighbors but leaving that aside, there is a baseline amount of tolerance for noise that you have to accept to live in a big city. You especially need to accept this if you live in ethnic neighborhoods with cultures that have a different noise tolerance. Don't be a colonizer

They certainly do but the platform itself covers an extensive amount of topics, much of which is not even relevant to the IDF or CIA, whether it be what different kinds of drugs do or detailed lore about all of Sonic the hedgehog's friends. And the site does have some countermeasures against this.

It is not hard at all to get MAGA people dependent on SNAP to demand it be abolished. "I'm on EBT, but those mexican illegals and black people are on 'food stamps' which is a waste of money and should be abolished"

And the saddest part is that so many of Trump's voters are on snap. Other things that create hostility to snap is just envy but it's misguided. Snap is worse than employment income from a living wage.

The slightly more moderate version of this is incredibly restrictive food rations provided by food banks with no steak or candy allowed. Poor households know what they need and providing them the snap card gives them the dignity of being able to shop and make their own choices.

The right's answer to people going without food stamps is that poor people unable to work (surplus population) should be allowed to die of starvation and as Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin suggest, converted into biofuels. It's just social darwinism.

On one hand the left has an answer to a social ill that is backed up by systematic evidence, but why aren't they giving equal time to the wrong solution that sits well with someone completely uneducated on the topic? Is the left out of touch? We visited an Ohio diner to find out how they feel.

for real though, if you can cut my rent costs and make my commute free, you can eat your rice however you like. I genuinely do not care how a candidate eats rice. Use a spoon, Use fork. Bury your head in the plate like a dog for all I care. Rent is too damn high.

These people will say claim they didn't know better, that that was the mainstream consensus at the time and they will resent the idea that they could be mainstream and centrist but morally wrong. But people did know better, and the "center" is the center of power not morals
