Just picked up “On Her Game” and am ready for chapter 3. I have to, genuinely, thank you for chapter 2!! Incredible piece of storytelling! As a native Iowan, chapter 2 moved me. The story told about Iowa high school girls 6x6, Title IX, and CC’s humility was next level!

3. What is being done to eliminate abusive student behavior towards teachers?

The above are state and nation wide issues and have to be addressed quickly to help fix the system.

2. How are you going to eliminate forced volunteerism for teachers? Hours of after/before school meetings that are not compensated for. Also, subbing for other classes when positions aren’t filled.

As a 27 year veteran I appreciate the transparency and a viable plan of action.

The listed steps are temporary solutions to wide ranging systemic issues. Questions that need to be answered…

What I meant was, last off season, I found some of your shot breakdown videos and it really clicked for me as the person helping my son. I.e. “isolating the issue” (your phrasing) that clicked for me as the teacher and him.

For example, we did a lot of research into correction of “guide hand thumb flick”. Your teaching of isolation of the issue helped him a lot last off season. Now I’m not finding the teaching points to be as clear so we’re hitting a bit of a wall as we enter this offseason.

Mia’s hoops career ended on Tuesday. She epitomized a high school, student athlete.

Her coaches got the most out of her! She was a tough player with a high IQ and could shoot it.

What a ride the past 2 weeks. Regional semis and a school record for wins.
