ADD wasn’t in the DSM until 1980. ADHD wasn’t until 1987. “Autism” was narrowly defined until 1994 when the DSM-IV said it was a spectrum. He never heard of it as a kid because it wasn’t understood then. This really isn’t as complicated as he pretends it is.
RFK JR: ADD, ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Narcolepsy, Autism.. All of these are injuries that I never heard of when I was a kid.
