When reefs die, entire ecosystems are at risk.

Some parts of the world’s coral reefs can still be protected, but only if we drastically cut greenhouse gas emissions and limit ocean warming.
climateactapp.bsky.social
Scientists warn that we've reached our first big tipping point: the collapse of coral reefs💔

Coral reefs support 25% of all marine life, protect coastlines from storms, nurture fish nurseries, & sustain local economies through fishing & tourism. No wonder they’re called “the rainforests of the sea"

Not only are these actions irresponsible, terminating these grants is out of step with legal precedent.

Now is the time to tell your federal representatives to take action ⤵️

The Department of Energy recently canceled $7.6 billion in APPROVED #cleanenergy funding. That's more than 200 projects across 16 states, just gone.

To be clear, these were vetted, awarded projects meant to deliver jobs, innovation, and cleaner energy to communities across the country. 🧵

The Seventh Generation Principle, rooted in Indigenous wisdom, teaches us to consider how the decisions we make today will shape life seven generations from now.

It’s a vision of deep care and stewardship. And we can bring it to life with every action we take 🌎💚

“The world desperately needs to increase the rate of growth [and] low-carbon is the only feasible longer-run growth on offer; high carbon growth self-destructs.”

States investing the most in #wind and #solar actually have lower electricity costs on average — including 13 states that voted for Trump. The data (from the government itself) shows renewables are saving consumers money while cutting pollution.

Facts matter.

As more EVs hit the road, the used market will grow too, strengthening what’s already the fastest-selling car segment in America.

While states can’t fully replace the federal tax credits, restoring state-level incentives is a strong step to keep clean transportation moving forward ⚡
climateactapp.bsky.social
By restoring EV rebate programs — with point-of-sale rebates, vouchers, & tax credits for new and used vehicles — states can help lower upfront costs, boost demand, and make clean vehicles accessible to more people.
climateactapp.bsky.social
Federal EV tax credits have officially expired, putting clean transportation progress at risk.

While most people are fully on board with the benefits of clean vehicles, their high upfront cost remains a major barrier to adoption.

This is where states can step up ⤵️

“The findings suggest it is possible for the world to wean off polluting sources of power — even as demand for electricity skyrockets — with continued investment in renewables including solar, wind, hydropower, bioenergy and geothermal energies.” 👏🏼👏🏼

The sun gives us more energy in one hour than we use in an entire year. Imagine the future if we focus on harnessing this clean energy force — clear skies, healthy communities, strong economies.

The DOE is now forbidding the Office of *Energy Efficiency* and *Renewable Energy* from using words like ‘climate change,’ ‘green,’ ‘emissions,’ and ‘energy transition’ in their work.

Coz sweeping the problem under the rug has always worked out so well 👍

We must never lose sight of hope. And we must work to lift the lid on that hope through action. To make it real. To help it spread.”

But progress isn’t automatic. It depends on people like us pushing, voting, showing up, and making sure leaders know we expect more.

Let’s keep reminding our state leaders that every climate action they take safeguards communities, protects lives, and shows that progress is still possible.
climateactapp.bsky.social
Across the country, states are setting bold climate targets, strengthening emission rules, expanding clean energy, and pushing cleaner transportation. They’re proving that even when federal policy lags, state leadership can innovate, hold the line, and push us forward.
climateactapp.bsky.social
At a time when the climate crisis is accelerating all around us, the federal government is rolling back policies we desperately need. But states are showing us what’s possible — and why their leadership is so critical right now.

State legislators have the power to cut red tape, save families money, and supercharge solar.

Let's urge them to follow suit & introduce a bill to support smart permitting for residential solar and battery systems👇👇
