It makes me so mad when people I don't know use "tu" with me aha - some people see it as very equalizing ("we're all friends and relaxed here!!") but if I'm interacting with an authority figure or even a researcher I've just met I see it as so rude.

It's amazing how huge movie theaters got in such a short time. On the left is Cinéma Omnia Pathé in 1913 and on the right the Grand Rex in 1933.

Reading on the first movie theaters all over the world and I love this one from Milwaukee which opened in 1902.
Excerpt from Milwaukee Movie Theaters by Larry Widen. By 1899, movies were one of the attractions at summer amusement parks such as Chutes Park at the eastern end of North Avenue and Coney Island in Shorewood. But it wasn't until 1902 that the first actual motion picture theater came into being. Max Goldstein, a bricklayer by trade, saw the movies as a way to become his own boss. He leased a small storefront near Second Street and Wisconsin Avenue and filled it with rows of wooden benches. A piece of muslin tacked to the wall served as the screen. Admission was 5¢ for 30 minutes of silent films with music provided by a pianist.

For obvious reasons almost every story about an evil theme park is Disney or P. T. Barnum themed but imagine if someone made a Gargantua themed video game...it would be so sick...

My friends invited me to my first game of DnD. The character sheet and the handbook made me panic so I'm playing a tiefling named Jacques Chirac. He's a noble rogue.

Daily Horror:
A four frame comic about a daily experience I have where people's earbuds will fall out of their ear and they will pick them up and put them back without cleaning them. In the first frame, a man's earbud is falling from his ear. I am looking at the event from behind him, alert. In the second frame, the man is bending down to pick up the earbud. The street is clearly dirty and wet from the rain. In the third frame, the man is putting the earbud back in his ear. In the fourth frame, I stare at his ear in fear.

Half of my friends have misread this comic and think that *I'm* picking up the earbud and putting it in *my* ear, which:
-pain of a beginner artist, I'm sorry I'm sorry I'll fix it-
-is so much more horrific than the actual comic I wish I had drawn this instead

Chainsaw Man
A four frame comic about my weekly experience with Chainsaw Man, a manga I love. In the first frame, I am shouting "time to read the new chainsaw man chapter!!!" while a chainsaw comes out of my head. In the second frame, I am reading the Chainsaw man manga on my laptop, with a blank happy look on my face. In the third frame, I close my laptop with both hands.
