I just had a video call with family, my OAP dad asked why I had boom mic so I explained that I streamed videogames on twitch. Their first response to hearing that people watch other people play videogames was "That sounds kinda kinky, almost like video game pornography" 🤣

I think everyone processes these situations in different ways.

I feel that emotional distance. My parents are lovely people, but they struggled at being parents. When they pass I'll be sad, but I suspect the most sad thing for me will be how little my life changes.

The act makes reference to specific technologies like "email" and "GIF" which have no place in law.

Not because we shouldn't try to legislate around technology, but because that is the wrong level of abstraction.

It would be like banning verbal abuse unless it was said in Latin.

If you are in the UK petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72.... Even if you agree with the stated intentions of the act, the implementation is an embarrassment. Parliament should be ashamed of enacting this in the first place
