For a long long time I used to avoid giving characters eyepatches because people close to me that I respected told me they were ugly.
If eyes are a window into the soul then an eyepatch is like a locked door hiding a character's deep empathy in plain sight. These days I think they're very beautiful!

i think in an ideal car game situation you'd have an engine with some kind of actual complexity to it, but not so complex that you gotta get a real degree in how a car works
