like if sephiroth’s personal hang ups were different then jenova would have appeared as and appealed to different things within her yknow. in that sense jenova is totally amoral and lacks true consciousness but it gets complicated when you merge something like that with someone like sephiroth +

yesss i think jenova is like a virus or spore w an instinct to eat and any psychological manipulation aspects of it are more like unthinking means towards that goal similar to chemical release from mold spores or a virus’ ability to hijack cell replication etc. you see whatever you want to see
