Not that the routes were bad, I liked kikunosuke a lot, and goemon was pretty good from what I read, but my focus is limited and at some point I’m asking ‘what’s the point?’ Life’s too short, I have so many games to experience. If I’m stasified with the experience I got, that’s all that matters

I think from this point forward for visual novels I will just do the route I like and skip the rest unless I’m truly interested. Yep it’s terrible but my hands were already stained as a filthy Cutscene Skipper in ffxiv (not for msq though. But yeah.) so why not descend further into story reading sin

So I played thru most of tengoku struggle, but skipped the rest of the Goemon/true route which I know is a heinous act against visual novel morality. Not that I didn’t like him, but the one and only route for me was already at the start. Fucking love this guy Sharaku atp the game was already perfect

The element of choice and routes and beautiful artwork and characters IS the appeal for sure. but man

Think I’m finally getting burnt out on the multiple route otome/bl vn structure. Reading any exceptionally long otome/bl will do that to you. Perhaps the one linear route with small changes based on choice is the based structure that respects your time and energy. Conciseness is so based actually

The key was to mute almost ALL the subs for games and things I like. Theres no nice way to say it, and I say it bc I’m not immune to being like this - people really have their heads up their ass. Or headass ig. My mission to enjoy and love things more and better than anyone else has NO time for this
