I remember losing sleep over this dicotomy haha. But in the end I think it's more of a gradient and you can choose to wander between both depending on the problems you're trying to solve. You're drawing really demonstrates this well:)

I've wanted to experiment with this art style for years because I love artists like Tooth Wu and Lin Chang, but with the advent of all the pinterest AI slop it kinda demotivated me. Today, I determined that I won't let it get in the way of my artistic growth. I love how this design turned out:D
