But don’t expect to be able to do a Microsoft scheduling poll in a group email: sometimes you have to Achieve less!

Howdy, STOKES! Gosh I think we’re achieving more already! 💪

No idea how I just managed to locate and edit a group of email contacts in Microsoft Outlook, but it earned me this warm personal greeting from the machine overlords. I'm touched.
Screenshot from Microsoft Outlook email app with the greeting 'Good afternoon, RIGGS,!' - suggesting that it only knows my last name... The second line reads 'Achieve more with Outlook Groups'.

Thanks Sarah - if you get a chance, feel free to point them in my direction. It’s a long time since I worked on this material, but the brain cells are still there. Especially after coffee.

But the label makes little sense … suggesting that identity was fixed into these categories, and implying that ‘eye makeup’ was real. I know labels are hard to write, but a university museum could perhaps offer more (here comes the dreaded word) nuance.

There are cities that are full of nature and we we learn to pay attention to it… we can make room for even more… for the next few days 25% off on pre order…

As if statues themselves have no history … but I wouldn’t expect more from a director of that institution.

I hadn’t realised: sincere condolences for your loss. Sepsis an awful thing, at any age.

I mean, the body language is hard to read - think I might need to up the Dreamies offer to be sure she’s enjoying herself 🤔.

This #Caturday, why not be more Mitzi? 🐈‍⬛
Long-haired black and white cat stretched on her back on green patterned sofa with her front legs relaxed and head tilted completely back.

Perfect timing ahead of a trip with students later this term to The Story, home of County Durham archives, where Mustapha's photographic images and life story feature as part of the Durham Light Infantry collection. 🗃️📜📷📸

A new ODNB article from me - James Francis [Jimmy] Durham, formerly Mustapha, a Sudanese boy 'adopted' in 1886 into the Durham Light Infantry. A tale of class and race, geography and the armed forces, music, and goodwill amidst the imperial assumptions: www.oxforddnb.com/display/10.1...

'Adopted' indeed: thank you, looking forward to reading in full and sharing with students.

Foot warmer! My newly adopted girl wants to drape her furry self over my feet while I work - and I say YES! But to myself so I won’t disturb her…
Black cat squeezed in to lie next to (and over) sock-clad feet under a pale painted desk. Pale carpet.

Storm Amy is still blowing outside, but Mitzi is safe under the early 20th-cent Liberty side table. The girl has style. 🐈‍⬛ #caturday

Great film! Makers of Lord Carnarvon’s camera (he of Tutankhamun fame), though the story of why I never made it to Downton Abbey/Highclere Castle to see it and other photo material can’t be conveyed in public. Aristocratic archive access is … quite something. 📸📷🏺🗃️
