I stand corrected. Things improved a lot with #PlayAnywhere for Xbox/PC. Which is cool. At least it seems to be true for MS owned game studios which you get both for PC and Xbox when buying at MS/Xbox Store. I had hoped it will be like this at some point. And missed it actually happening. :-)

Thanks for correcting me! Its the first time I realised that MS Store now lists more MS games I own on Xbox as installable & playable on my Windows-PC. Wondering when that changed. For Starfield I was aware, I thought a lot about Xbox Game Store (PC/console) vs Steam (PC/Steamdeck). #PlayAnywhere

Well. Re-checked MS Store and it now lists quite a few game licenses I bought for Xbox as playable on PC. Play Anywhere seems to have evolved. Progression! That is nice to see. I think MS should advertise that more.

Hmm. Seems you are right. Is it the case for all Microsoft games now? For Bethesda games it seems to be the case. For Starfield I was aware of it. Seems that Play Anywhere has been extended since I last checked it. www.xbox.com/en-US/games/...

Oh yes, its weird. Microsoft Store: I bought Minecraft there, ages ago. I reinstall a PC and MS Store tells me I don't own anyting. I have to try to buy Minecraft again until it notices I own it already. Every time. Even Epic Games is still way behind Steam. They are slowly getting better, though.

Microsoft shoots itself in its own leg: It also isn’t an Xbox because it can’t run games you bought for Xbox. It can only run games you bought for PC. And MS still rarely - if at all - sells you both versions in a nice package. Then I can also just buy Steam games, which beats MS hands down.

A few years back, my brother spent over a year fighting for his life in need of a full liver transplant, then through complications & a longer than expected recovery.

To stave off dialysis, (it was brutal last time & his kids shouldn't have to see him like that), he's in need of a kidney.
