every october i try to doodle from a prompt list and the one i'm picking sporadically from this year is "wisptober"

anyway I'll never forget her remorse/attempt at apology after seeing me cry because it helped form my deep-rooted "I don't think people inherently want to be mean" belief that I've been desperately trying to cling to

it's also a fascinating memory for me because it involves an adult yelling and swearing at me, who was by all accounts technically a child in charge of supervising other children operating heavy machinery for $9/hr, trying to keep her children safe
