It's been five years since the first Covid lockdown

And now 3/4 of the public say they're MORE or JUST AS likely to support full lockdown measures to prevent the spread of a pandemic as they were in 2020

This does seem like it, though. The “it’ll be alright on the night” strategy shows an admirable level of self-confidence, but feels very misguided

It is really difficult to understand what Labour's political strategy is. Steadily alienating core supporters in the hope of winning them back in a few years seems unwise.

Today is the first working day I haven’t been dog-sitting Betty for over a week and I’ve spent a disproportionate amount of my morning on the Dog’s Trust website

A new Savanta poll for us shows that while supporters of Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens all back British troops being sent to Ukraine as peacekeepers, Reform voters oppose it

@chrishopkins92.bsky.social: "any lingering sense that these [Reform supporters] are just Tories in disguise is wrong"

Reform voters buck the national trend of supporting British troops being sent to Ukraine as peacekeepers, according to new @savanta.bsky.social polling

People who intend to vote Labour, Tory, Lib Dem & Green all support the move, the poll showed

However, a majority of Reform supporters oppose it

Absolutely gutted that Richard has left Savanta but the work he did with us in a year will have a lasting impact well beyond his tenure. The research world is better for having his communications expertise staying in the sector - Ipsos are very lucky to have him.

My mum helpfully reminded me this morning that four years ago I ran 260km in the month of January and this year I've done... what, exactly? She meant it nicely, but jfc the subtext was scathing.

per @savanta.bsky.social's London polling for @centreforlondon.bsky.social last year, Khan's net favourability dropped from +9 to -2.

The environment is important to Londoners, but not as important as housing, crime and the economy, all areas Khan is perceived to have performed badly in since 2016.

I see Star Sports have gone Labour at 4/5 and Reform at 6/4. At those prices, I take Reform all day.

definitely reasonable, and will certainly help the ground game, I'm just not sure that part of the world is overly reluctant to give Labour a kicking at the moment either

Irrespective of what I think will happen, it'll be interesting to see how the bookies would price a Runcorn by-election. Whoever doesn't start as favourite, I'd imagine they'd present some decent value: I'd probably price Labour and Reform as pick'em
