5/ We’re truly grateful to have been part of such an inspiring platform — sharing research, connecting with brilliant minds, and exploring new ways to collaborate for a healthier future for children everywhere!
4/ During the E-Poster presentation, Ms. Pushpita shared insights from CHRF's research on the genomic epidemiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype 2, highlighting how genomic data can help track and understand the spread of this pathogen.
3/ The event was packed with interactive sessions, symposiums, plenaries, and E-Poster presentations, covering topics from neonatal and respiratory infections to global health challenges and emerging public health threats.
2/ The congress provided a platform for experts to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore solutions in pediatric infectious diseases, reflecting WSPID’s mission to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries.
1/ The World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) hosted the 14th World Congress in Bangkok, Thailand from 28–31 October 2025 and we are delighted to share that Ms. Krishna Banik Pushpita, Data Scientist at CHRF, participated in the event!
4/ In her latest blog, Atiya reflects on this journey and shares how she embraced her role as “the mediator,” helping others connect with science in simple, creative, and human ways.
3/ She developed a genuine curiosity about how data can truly save lives and a growing passion for science communication as a way to bridge the gap between research and people.
2/ When Atiya first joined CHRF, stepping into the world of research felt both exciting and unfamiliar. But as she learned more about our work, something unexpected happened.
1/ Meet Ms. Atiya Binta Hossain — Executive Officer at CHRF, working closely with our Building Scientists for Bangladesh (BSB) team and actively contributing to CHRF's science communication efforts.

Read her story here: chrfbd.org/blogs/a8035a...
2/ Let’s continue standing together — as individuals, as a community, and as a country — to keep the conversation alive, encourage early screening, and support those whose journeys remind us of strength, hope, and resilience.
1/ October may be ending, but awareness should never fade.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us that every story is unique, every journey matters.

Each story of courage and recovery inspires us to keep learning, listening, and spreading awareness beyond this month.
2/ Now we can identify genetic mutations that might be pathogenic or contribute to any existing disease from only a little amount of whole blood.

This is an exciting step forward for CHRF to uncover genetic insights that lead to better diagnosis, treatment and health for all!
1/ CHRF is now offering this diagnostic service in Bangladesh and has successfully created and dispatched its first report! From processing samples to analyzing results, every step has been done at CHRF.
2/ We are incredibly proud and delighted to see our little heroes roll up their sleeves for the TCV shot! Here are a few moments of our CHRF kids receiving their vaccines as we celebrate this milestone!
1/ From years of research, data collection, and advocacy to this moment of children receiving the typhoid vaccine, it truly feels like a full-circle achievement for CHRF.
2/ Submit your samples by 5th November to receive your results by 25th November 2025!

3/ This innovative approach not only offered crucial insights before the rollout of the Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) but continues to help track the disease even after the vaccine’s introduction.
2/ Along with CHRF’s incredible Phage Team, Al Amin monitors Typhi-specific bacteriophages — viruses that infect bacteria — in the environment. By combining environmental surveillance with clinical data, we are able to have a clearer understanding of the typhoid burden across Bangladesh.
1/ Meet Al Amin, a passionate Research Investigator at CHRF!
6/ CHRF extends its sincere gratitude for the opportunity to join this global dialogue and help shape actionable pathways to strengthen genomic science around the world and in Bangladesh!

5/ The symposium also discussed “What is the Way Forward?” — reflecting on Rwanda’s vision for genomic innovation, national support, and the opportunities and challenges in building sustainable regional genomic initiatives.
4/ In addition, Dr. Saha served as Co-Chair and Moderator for a session featuring four lightning talks selected from submitted abstracts.
3/ She also participated in a Panel Discussion on the Future of Genomics, exploring the current and future applications of genomics and metagenomics in Africa and beyond.
