Too much depressing stuff.

That's small? My cat's are about the same size.
A mid-sized ship tries to rob me and I just ram him.

After hunting pirates of one faction for a while, they send me a mail saying that they've downgraded my relations with them to "unfriendly".

I blew up like a hundred of their pirates and all they do is take me off their christmas card list?

Good: When a game deliberately gets silly or dumb because it's more fun for the player.

Bad: Games making themselves worse to pressure players into buying microtransactions.

Ugly: When a fan community becomes fanatical and goes around backseating the hell out of anyone playing their game.
Man, I really like the Type 10 because it's dumb in the best possible way. Every interaction with pirates is hilarious.

Pirate: I'm gonna try to rob him!

Pirate: Don't try to run!
Me: Bro, I couldn't run even if I wanted to.
Ah, they were already blocked by some of my other lists. Nice.
This is just with visiting like the first three engineers too. It's far from fully upgraded.
So after hunting a bunch of materials all day, I engineered all the guns on the type 10.

What the hell? Engineering makes this much of a difference? This thing is evaporating smaller ships in like 5 seconds.

In FFXIV, that is arguably you.
Lumas from Mario Galaxy.
I can't knock the devs too much though. The game is excellent in the areas that it really focused on (namely flight and shipbuilding), and its side activities having some rough patches is not a dealbreaker.
There are many parts of this game that feel very archaic mechanically, and this is one of them. This "get 30x of this rock to get this cool item" stuff is the most basic mmo quest design ever, and just as boring as it ever was.

Manual looting with an SRV is another example.
About ED engineering mat grinding:

- it's not as bad as I feared because people have guides on the best places to get this or that.
- but it still sucks.
That's kind of how I got into the lore too. I started with the first Space Marine game and then started playing other games and reading wikis.

This Youtuber is really good at explaining the lore.

Oh god what did they do this time
The desire sensor is working correctly.

Umamusume is the game I have the most tenuous attachment to, so of course I got the new banner character on the first 10-pull.

This has happened three banners in a row now.
Calling it "poor engineering" is kind of like calling a flaming wreck of a car "slightly damaged".
I forgot she has that shirt lol
