This right here! HR in the academic setting is notoriously bad. Those seeking positions at any level, whether faculty or staff, whether new or promotional, deserve better. You can easily send an email. Heck, the person manning your front desk can send it. It’s not that hard! 📨

This is my resident squirrel who has an apt under my front porch. She loves a good suet bar and periodically makes her way to the bird feeder, via a platform of seed. Note the chubby cheeks!

Where are you located? It looks a bit like a female or immature Black-headed Grosbeak. (I think I see two stripes on the wing and a pale orange glow on the belly.) I’ve only had one male & one female visit my feeder. But I caught a shot and they are so pretty. (I’m in the Sequoia National Forest.)

I know, right! Stephen, has anyone ever looked you dead in the eye and physically threatened your children if you don’t comply? I don’t think you have. It’s all well and good to be on camera with your buds talking shit. But, all alone in an isolated place, it’s a whole different thing.
