Heteronormativity & the whole “gender roles” obsession keeps many ppl suffocating & trapped in their relationships.

“Queering” up the way one views & approaches relationships can free ppl from unrealistic expectations, made up rules & allow ppl to actually enjoy their relationships & sustain it.

One thing about me, I don’t care what time it is when I’m replying back to emails & texts. Folks be getting replies back from me at like 3am.

I do things when I have the energy. So if I have a burst of energy at 3am you’re most likely going to get a email or text back.

However, what did irritate me was all the elders and adults trying to “protect” Malik from the truth. Their guilt was literally their downfall. Now on the flip side Malik did need to get knocked upside his head a few good times & told to shut up and listen. They let him talk to them crazy.

I hear a lot of mixed reviews about the book “Blood at the Root” by LaDarrion Williams. Specifically when it comes to all the “slang” used in the book. Which is interesting b/c as an educator who works w/ teenagers, teens use mad slang. I personally didn’t mind it.
