It was so beautiful, it's one I've already thought I'd like to revisit!

A visit on a lovely late summer day to the stunning St John the Baptist, Inglesham.

The chancel floor at St John's, Clarendon Park is a rather lovely glass mosaic of foliage designs. The church was designed by Goddard and sons and built in 1884-5, the floor is by Rust & Co of London and an excellent example of their work.

Rows and rows of patterns and creatures and beakheads from below.
Looking up at the underside of the absolutely glorious 12thC chancel arch at St Peter's, Tickencote.
The uneven nature and wonkiness is just wonderful.

Both so beautiful, I will see them one day, I will!

A rather lovely 13thC trefoil headed arch at All Saints, Coleshill.
The later door has a very impressive display of ironwork too, it twiddles and twirls in a very confident manner.

A beautifully carved figure on the reredos at St Mary's, Purton. The tiny bird in the foliage at the base is particularly lovely.

Is it Monday morning already...?
Someone seems to be longing for a lie in, a sleepy head skull at St Mary the Virgin, Buscot.

It's so difficult to concentrate when someone is nibbling your hair.
Strange and rather disconcerting creatures on the 13thC arcades at St George's, Kelmscott. Very well carved though, I love the way their hands rest on the outer edge of the niche.

Oh Meg!
At that age I was just the same though😐

I've long wanted to visit but was still absolutely blown away by it

Looking down on one of the landings at the John Rylands Library, Manchester.
The scale of the building just took my breath away.

The 15thC wall paintings at St Peter's, Raunds are wonderful and worth making arrangements to visit.
Here grinning Death confronts Lady Pride, piercing her with a lance and forcing the sins out of her, such an unusual image.

The Memorial window of 2005 by Nicola Kantorowicz was a gorgeous splash of colour glowing in the sunshine at St Giles, Great Coxwell.

Three figures at the crucifixion is a stunning example of 14thC artistry at St Mary the Virgin, Meysey Hampton.
Removed from the church sometime in the 19thC, fragments which had been found were restored to the church, they're definitely worth searching out.

The 12thC doorway at St Andrew's, Eastleach Turville is a stonker!
Chevron patterned orders surround a tympanum carved with Christ in majesty, all of it in remarkably good condition.

Derek was beginning to wonder if the decision not to replace his nasal trimmer was the right one at St Kyneburgha, Castor.

Lowick was a standout church this trip, the monuments and glass are stunning.
Lyveden New Bield is a particular favourite of mine, obviously built by Tresham as well.
