Hfcs 55 is 55% fructose and 45% glucose
Corn syrup is 100% glucose

All of them are real sugar

The sucrose in bottled/canned sodas breaks down into monosaccharides. So it's literally 50% fructose and 50% glucose in the bottle

kind of depends on what sort of choice they had.

the clerks discussion is premised around the idea that someone chose to take that job.

We've seen at this point that the empire definitely pressed people into service with no choice, sometimes with no idea what they were actually working on.

Humans are all too often a type of monster.

the thing that makes them especially despicable is the fact that they are indeed human, their human capacity for good and evil.

If they weren't human, we'd think of them more like a force of nature... a tornado, or earthquake rather than something evil
