I'm stunned at the idiocy and moral posturing of some cycling fans who boast of "believing the best" in spite of evidence to the contrary...and then who stalk and hulk trying to intimidate others with their moral purity who rely on evidence and sound reasoning...

Sigh...yeah, I get that. I did that once before, to a pretty staunch degree back between 1995 and 2007.

I just don't get it tho...if you're clean, why you work with ex-dopers who didn't even hide it AND why they even allowed to work with riders now.

For me, it's like choosing to believe in Santa.

One of the things I love to do most is watch professional cycling races.

One of the things that disgusts me is gaslighting and pretense.

I'm not watching today, a rider managed by ex-dopers and sportswashing for an oppressive regime.

Until he gets rid of all ties to dopers, I just cannot.

Also, to Mike, I would add that given the capricious nature of racing, any rider besides Pog with a true chance at the victory also has to be ready for any opportunity presented by fate via crash, mechanical, etc.

Just going kamikaze isn't truly viable.

That's a horsecrap thing for a mechanic to say to a rider who's been in that saddle for umpteen kazillion billion miles and simply *knows* the slightest differences...and they matter.

They certainly have accomplished any purpose aimed at a cycling team that does no genocide and influences no policy, tho they do bear the name of a nation that does so.

The jury is still out on the topic of if they will assist in getting that nation to change its murderous ways.
