What started off from the idea of "video game boss that you beat by feeding stuff" instead sorta chaged course a lot and now, I ended up making a bolum fire mage woman, Kalora!

Kalora, or Kal to some, or Kali to some others.
Her necklace helps her cheat at mana channeling, but it has some risks!

Kalora knows two major types of spells she can cast herself: flame magic, and a sort of "convert energy" magic.
Her necklace gem acts like a battery, really good at holding lots of mana.
Kalora eats a lot, and can alter her digestion to convert a lot of it into mana, stored in the necklace.

Without it however, her trick is missing a step, and now her digestion boost would have no destination, simply turning into weight.
