Despite my own personal lack of faith, I am not sympathetic to people harassing other folks for believing in the supernatural/godly. I’m especially not sympathetic to ignorant atheists who are so Christiancentric that they assume all religions work the way evangelical Christianity does.

I come into contact with a lot of them because I am a scientist and zealous atheists who are seeking to actively end people’s participation in religions that may have supernatural beliefs assume that I will be sympathetic to their position.

I personally don’t believe in the supernatural, but

Not one of the assholes asked (because asshole) but an atheist proselytizer is someone who goes out of their way to try and convince people who haven't asked them that religion is bad or otherwise makes a scene about God when no one asked. They tend to be, ironically, Christiancentric.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

I’m not expert enough to know how much of this is people being in a very fucked state of mind that has been trained by years of being on other algorithms plus this political moment vs other factors
