Also €zone interest rates are historically much lower due to the decreased risk coming from scale.

Greece for example pays 3.50% on their government debt whereas U.K. pays 4.70%….

It’s like saying the citizens of the 26 cantons of Switzerland had all of that.

Or Liechtenstein has 11 municipalities, all of them with the right to declare independence by the way.

I hope that Rachel Reeves is preparing the ground work for a small limited mobility deal (and I think Starmer is at 50-50) and some agri deal.

But this would not make huge difference.

And the government should say how much of the damage is being reversed with the “make Brexit work” Labour policy.

These are excellent points.

Hope the SNP will make it clear in their manifesto.

In the end Scotland will have the same destiny as Estonia or Slovakia or Croatia or Ireland had: leaving a bigger country, set up own currency briefly, join the EU and then the €.

There are key limitations highlighted in the article on the data used.

“One limitation of the data is that HM Revenue & Customs’ records do not show the number of hours worked”.

But is a good article explaining correctly that when you cut workforce but keep output, productivity logically goes up.
