I need to do beta edits but HOPEFULLY I’ve got at least 2-3 chapters of my Hellghoul fic to release on time.

I’ve never done this with a fic before…had advanced chapters drafted. I feel weird.

I follow someone who adores ASOIAF/HOTD but no longer maintains their fandom blog and only tags their ship on main because of how bad it apparently is.

I can relate to the "only tagging my ship" thing sadly :/

Yeah it’s about three or so years ago but I never deleted the Tweet the set them off, because I couldn’t stand to go back and look at it again. It just occurred to me today it’s the sort of thing I could get doxxed over.

People can ask “who do you most want to lose their seat at the next general election?” and I’ll yell “Wes Streeting” before you’ve even finished asking the question.

I think you can go further and say he lied.

And he continues to lie. He tells Christian publications that he doesn’t think trans people exist and then he tells Labour Party meetings he feels awful for trans people about the blockers ban HE enforces.

Idk if it’ll do much good but I finally logged back in to lock down my “professional” Twitter account. My fandom one was always locked but yeah. I can’t stop thinking about that Tweet on my work account that got me death threats for days. I muted the notifications so for all I know it got worse.

My other petty reason I never warmed to her is unfortunately for her, she strongly resembles someone who would regularly invite me to the ADC at uni and spend the night ignoring me, preferring to flirt with every man that breathed in her direction.

So my brain goes “oh you’re not a girls girl” 😂

It’s really petty of me to feel like my decades long hatred of Kiera Knightley’s teeth acting is being vindicated. Like, now I have a legitimate reason to say “oh I don’t like her” other than “does she ever deliver a line NOT through a clenched jaw?”

It was 100% the correct decision to say "ok, my Hellghoul fic can't be just three chapters" because I just finished the first draft of chapter 3 and it's... 8,200 words 😭😂

I'm gonna say, because of how unrelentingly obsessive they were, they fully know some of the post-S1 era people are here now and the only reason the stalker isn't here themselves is because they can't be a coward and change to priv to ban evade.

This just really sucks. I'm not even mainly angry any more. I'm mainly depressed. The biggest fucking fannies to ever draw breath are ruining everything by taking the human heart and soul out of creativity. All because they're entitled and too damned lazy to learn a skill themselves.

So frustrating that it does start to feel like the only way to not have your creativity stolen by Gen AI is to...just not upload any writing, any art, any creative pursuits at all online.

But then that defeats the whole purpose, especially from a fandom POV. Having a community was the attraction.

Exactly. And the fact we’ve got a pincer movement essentially saying women = irrational and controlled by hormones, also weak and not as good as men at anything at all (except for making babies) is only adding to all this.

E.g. there are non-religious people who will use the exact same extremely emotive and unscientific arguments against abortion as religious people do. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Rolling my eyes at the “we’re not religious zealots like the Yanks” responses.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but, regardless of what folk claim otherwise, a LOT of Brits have very socially conservative views. They may not go to church but they’ll happily agree with policies evangelicals want!

A US Christian legal org called the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is working to roll back abortion rights here using the same playbook it used in the US: briefing politicians, watching, waiting.
