The Olympic committee should absolutely pull the games from the US and compete in an alternative venue. It simply isn't safe for foreign athletes to visit America. Treat America as trump treats other "shithole" countries.

If anyone is confused; the shutdown is not because Democratic lawmakers want to punish Americans or government workers. Musk and Trump have done that already.

It's because they will not vote for a bill that punishes 17 million Americans by making their health insurance too expensive to pay for.
